How did Christina Talarico start what is now a multimillion dollar company with only, “$500 and A Dream?” Watch the short video below to view LIVE footage shot on MSNBC at the Inc. 500/Inc. 5000 Conference in Washington, D.C. September 2008.
This says a lot about how I live my life and who I am. I want to share my thoughts with you...
Several years ago, at an Athena Award Ceremony, I was asked to share my personal philosophy on success, I had to condense my thoughts to one paragraph.
(YIKES, one paragraph, that wasn’t easy!)
Christina Talarico is an accomplished entrepreneur, someone who asks, "Why not?, rather than "Why should I?" The strong desire to own a business and help others started at a very young age. While her friends were playing with their barbies, Talarico was creating business plans and operating small ventures. At the young age of 17, Chris relocated to the "big city", Philadelphia, with no money and no where to live but a goal to attend college and pursue her dreams. After working two jobs and attending The Art Institute of Philadelphia full time, she graduated with a Degree in Fashion/Business. Once again, not allowing obstacles to stand in her way,
Talarico worked 5 jobs to save money to start her own staffing company at the age of 26. She now brings more than twenty years of business experience to the operation of her own personnel and recruiting firm; Chris Talarico & Associates, Inc., Employment Services (CTA Inc.). CTA Inc. was founded in January 1992 with $500 and a young woman’s entrepreneurial instincts. CTA Inc. evolved into a multimillion dollar company. CTA had offices in two states, a team of 30 internal employees and over 500 temporaries workers, serving hundreds of companies throughout the United States.
CTA, Inc. and Talarico have received over 11 local and national awards since their inception in 1992. They have a stellar reputation for providing outstanding service to their clientele while staying committed to giving back to a variety of people and organizationsin need.
Christina has been featured in Entrepreneur's Magazine- Business and Start-Ups. Staff Digest, The Eastern PA Business Journal,The Reading Eagle and Times, Business to Business Magazine, interviewed on KYW Newsradio (Philadelphia) and on MSNBC.
